You may come to the tranquil town of San Marcos La Laguna for some time away from the hustle of travel in Central America, get a Swedish massage or some shiatsu. Or, you may come for lessons in one of the many healing arts taught in San Marcos. There is not really any night life to speak of in San Marcos, maybe the occasional stray live band, duo or DJ at a spontaneous fiesta, though there are many friendly foreigners and local indigenous with restaurants, hotels, hostels and more. San Marcos is a nice town to go and relax for a few days or months while you are at Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. |
